• Beeswax candles actually clean the surrounding air! This is because burning natural beeswax releases negative ions. Dust, dirt, pollen, chemical pollutants and other particles in the air all carry a positive charge which is how they are suspended.
• The negative ions released from burning beeswax negate the positive charge of air contaminants; these neutralised ions either fall to the ground or get sucked into the burning candle.
• Beeswax candles have a longer burn time than soya or paraffin wax candles. Soya wax, whilst totally natural, may be harvested from GM crops, which are often sprayed with chemicals harmful to bees.
